Frances lives in Brighton and has a bizarre, experimental musical soul and a truly amazing voice. She has a fascination with odd noises, a dictaphone and an amazing sampling keyboard with the memory of a goldfish.
After recording several albums on her own, in October she recorded the Cold Seeds album with Neil and Pete from Meursault and King Creosote. We’re just sorting out the details of that one, and hope to have it out on vinyl by March 2010 – in time for Homegame with a bit of luck.
We’re also trying to arrange for her to come and record an album with Neil in March, because the two of them seem to work incredibly well together. There are some logistics to work out first, but it would be brilliant if we could manage it, because I am totally convinced that any album they made would be fucking weird as hell, and completely amazing.
